Andrea studied in Turin at la "Flic" circus school, followed by the "Jonglier Katakomben" in Berlin, and now has just finished at "le Lido" in Toulouse.
 
"...what I like is when circus is mixed with theatre to create something more expressive... when the public can share some emotion with me, find a fragile relation with them... my style is a mix of classic juggling technique, "recherche" and imagination... a mix of animals, strange walks and clubs."

Ayla Moes and Tom Gaubig (Netherlands, Luxembourg)

(Hand to Hand)

Hand to hand duo, mixing theater, movement and acrobatic skills.

Tom started doing circus in Spain in Rogelio Rivel, then continued in Montpellier and is now in ACaPA where he started to work with Ayla, who has been training for ten years in the youth circus Elleboog in Amsterdam, where she performed in different places in Holland.

They have been working together for the past 2 years in ACaPA Tilburg, and will present there newest creation on the motion festival.

Cate Flaherty (US)

Cate Flaherty has been a performing circus artist for the past ten years. She is a graduate of  L'Ecole de Cirque de Quebec in Quebec City where she first began developing her unique blend of handbalancing and object manipulation.

Cate has appeared in numerous corporate events, cabarets. and small circuses including Cirque Sublime and the prestigious Cirkus Princessan Festial in Stockholm.

Over the past four years she has performed her act at nearly a dozen juggling festivals across the United States and Canada. Motion Festival will mark her first appearnace at a juggling festival outside of North America.

Chloe DeBuyl Pisco (Ireland)

(Dance)

Chloe de Buyl-Pisco has been dancing for 22 years and is the creator, director and choreographer of No Frontiers Dance Company. Her experience ranges from multiple styles of contemporary dance, African dance, Hip Hop/ Break dance  and a strong background in Classical Ballet. She has taught and choreographed on various object manipulators. Over the last couple of years she has added Aerial dance to her range of skills and is learning more everyday!

Darragh McLoughlin (Ireland)

(Juggling)

Darragh has been juggling and object manipulating for over 5 years. In 2006 he went to study in the Jonglier Katakomben in berlin. He stayed there on and of for 2 years when he decided he needed more to be ready for the stage. So he went to the school ACAPA (Academy for Circus and Performance Art) in 2008 to study more theatre, acrobatics and dance to bring him closer to the stage.

DImaworm (Russia)

Dymitry started dancing in 2000. From the year 2003 he started performing on the stage not only in Moscow but in other cities of Russia and near abroad. His favourite dance styles are tutting and waving.

"I guess the love for tutting comes from my childhood when i liked to glue paper models. I'm always up for something new and try to mix different styles and moves in my dancing."

Ed Adams (England)

Prepare to be mesmerised by Ed as he introduces you to his warped perception of space and time with his illusion heavy contact juggling style.

Ed will also be giving in depth workshops in Ball/Body Isolation which will change the way you think about moving with a prop.

LOOOOP (Germany, Sweden)

(Partner Poi)

LOOOOP is a performance group from Berlin and has been working on partnerpoi techniques for more than 3 years. Besides from developing new ideas for spinning poi interlaced with a partner, one of LOOOOP's main focuses is to integrate partnerpoi with complex choreographies with and without fire.

At Motion Festival LOOOOP will be showing avantgardistic and mindblowing poi routines with up to four people.

Meghan Claire Pike (Scotland)

(Staff and Club Manipulation)

Meghan or MCP or Megatron has been travelling the world teaching object manipulation and performing for the past 7 years, from Japan to Australia, Canada, America, Russia and Europe.

She is currently researching new forms of club manipulation and working on combining contemporary dance and illusional forms of street dance with her object manipulation skills. She likes manipulating the world one object at a time.

Rico (France)

This year hula hoop master Rico has already performed at Carvin Juggling Convention (fr), Fusion (de),  the Secret Garden Party (uk) and The Drop stage at Boom Festival (pt).
Rico has taught more than 100 workshops in more than 10 different countries over the past 2 years, including; Hoop Gathering, Burning Crew Concept, Temple of Dance and more…
He shall be teaching introduction to hooping, improvisation and theatre with your hoop, improve your movement - parcour and races and technical vertical hooping.

Ronan McLoughlin (Ireland)

(Poi)

It was fire that first attracted Ronan to poi and in turn lead him to different juggling props and the movement and manipulation arts in general. However after experimenting with and being exposed to the possibilities of different props (especially contact juggling, club swinging, contact and manipulation) he began to realise the limitations of learning in terms of fire spinning and began to approach poi from an object manipulation perspective.

Since then Ronan has performed and taught at countless juggling conventions and festivals around the world.

Sonal and her ukelele, a sweet acoustic set, with a razor edge, ranging from old to modern classics combining an individual style with classic sounds, creating an intimate atmosphere with her contagious smile and energy.

Thomas Hoeltzel (France)

"AKO"

This play was written as a choregraphical act where the body and the juggling are of one mind. It's a subtle work on rhythm and movement which echoes an intense piece of music with personal juggling, a mix of aerial and contact juggling, body tricks and movement.
"AKO" was created at the end of Thomas's course in a french circus school and was played in different circus festivals in France.
